The Honorable Minister of FMITI Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite and Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Mr Geoffrey Van Leeuwen during a visit to the Hon.Minister recently in Abuja

The Honourable Minister of Industry Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoaka-Anite, has said that the
Federal Government of Nigeria is ready to to strengthen a bilateral relationship with Netherlands.
She made this statement when the Minister for Foreign Trade and Cooperation, George Van Leeuwan
alongside the Minister for Migration Mr. Eric Van der Blug paid a courtesy visit on her in her office.
The Minister stated that, Niger is strong in the areas of agriculture production and she is looking for
ways of training human resources enhance their capacity to achieve her industrial output.
Speaking further, she said the actualization is targeted at training manpower in ict and other sector of
the economy to maximise the available opportunities.
Earlier the Dutch Embassy in Nigeria said that and the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development
Cooperation, Migration mentioned above, focused on the cooperation between Nigeria in the field of
politics economics and migration as well as consular activities, adding that the high point of the visit is to
establish a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries to deepen their
relationship, he said.
The Embassy further stated that the visit strengthens the Diplomatic ties between the two countries
and also to collectively resolve to navigate challenges and leverage opportunities for positive impact
globally.
