(RCSID)
The Reform Co-ordination and Service Improvement Department (RCSID) was created to strengthen Nigeria’s ongoing public service reforms and to embed a culture of efficiency, transparency, and innovation within the Ministry.
As the focal point for change management, service delivery improvement, and reform initiatives, the Department ensures that the Ministry operates in line with the standards set by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), and other reform-driven government agencies.

Core Functions & Activities
The Reform Co-ordination and Service Improvement Department delivers on its mandate through the following functions:
- Acting as the focal point for reforms, innovation, and service improvement within FMITI.
- Collaborating with the Ministry’s leadership, BPSR, and OHCSF to identify gaps in systems and processes and designing interventions to close them.
- Managing and driving SERVICOM initiatives to enhance accountability and responsiveness in service delivery.
- Troubleshooting service failures and developing practical solutions to address them.
- Researching and adopting global and local best practices to improve public service performance.
- Designing and launching initiatives to entrench a culture of continuous service improvement within the Ministry.
- Developing and deploying change management tools to support reforms.
- Supporting Ministry leadership in articulating and coordinating the change agenda in alignment with national policies and standards.
